I have shot some footage at 720p24, and wanted to do a time remapping effect.

Obviously the footage has a slow frame rate for this type of effect, so i was wondering if its possible, using motion's optical flow, or after effects' time warp filter to export a 60p version for editing in after-effects?

If yes, then what steps should be taken to ensure a high quality output?

you can't add resolution that isn't there. that counts with pixels and frames.

simply use an optical flow filter to generate the speed you want. thats as good as it will get. you really can't add frames that don't exist, just fake it via O.F. as well as possible.

I thought that the vector-derived frames from optical flow, is exactly what's going on... It generates in-between frames.

So i was wondering if there is a trick of some sort, to perhaps slow down the footage to a specific percentage, and export it as 60p (from a 24p file),

which in turn would print those frames to video, so that I can further use that file in after effects...

After Effects time warp will do this and it will generate the in-between frames. I used it once to slow down 24p footage, it looks a lot better than reducing speed.
