I know this has probably been asked a million times--in fact I know it has, because I searched for it and read through all the topics--but none seemed to answer my specific question.
I am getting ready to buy a Mac Pro, and was wondering if I should be looking into Nvidia's line of Quadro FX cards. Here's what I'm using:
-Final Cut Pro for the majority of my work.
-After Effects CS3 for compositing, which I use a good deal.
-Color for...color.
I know for a fact that AE takes a huge advantage of OpenGL, and (correct me if I'm wrong) Quadros are built for that.
On the other hand, I heard a rumor that Color favors ATI cards, which allows it to perform certain, while minor, functions that Nvidia cards cannot.
So, what do you think?
