Hello,

I'm new to the board and I have a question.

I have a Canon Xl1s w/ MA-100, MiniMount, and Sennheiser ME66 mic with K6 power supply.

I have the mic running into the MA-100, then the MA-100 running into the red/white inputs on back of camera.

I have audio line 1 set to mic and sound at 16bit.

My question is this- The audio seems to be only in the left channel, even when I adjust balance. How can I get a stero recording from this mic?

Is this mic only mono?

I read the audio guide on watchdog but I'm still having the same issue.

Thanks!

I found buried in another thread the fact that the shotgun mic is only one channel anyway. does this mean I could put another Senn. ME66 onto the right channel? Cant hurt to ask. =)

You sure can add another Sennheiser to the other channel. And just as an FYI, pretty much *all* professional XLR mics such as your Sennheiser are indeed monophonic.

FWIW: There are some professional single point stereo mics; e.g., AT-825, AT-835ST, AT-815ST, Shure VP81, and some others.
