Have just arranged collection of EX1 for firmware update etc. Faulty remote is not covered- have to go through dealer to get it fixed!

Same with any other "add-ons" - the battery, the charger, etc (even though you got them in the same box with your camera).

BTW, are you sure it's not just dead battery inside the commander? How is it faulty?

It has never worked. I have access to another EX1 that functions with its remote with no problems. It is a dead remote tried batteries etc.
