Hey,
Weird Problem.

Mac G5 tower (non intel), leopard, FCP 6.0.3, XDcam Transfer 2.7, QT 7.5. Everything works fine.

Intel laptop, Tiger 10.4.11, FCP 6.0.3, XDcam Transfer 2.7, QT 7.5. Everything works fine.

Newer laptop, leopard, FCP 6.0.3, XDcam Transfer 2.7.1 QT 7.5.5, Everything works fine

But,
2nd G5 tower (non intel), leopard, FCP 6.0.3, XDcam Transfer 2.7.1, QT 7.5.5

When importing footage no proxy image appears in the Transfer software. we get audio, just no image. However, if you blindly highlight the proxy and import, it comes into FCP just fine.

Wondering if it is the QT software, but this also happened before the Upgrade to QT 7.5.5 and transfer software 2.7.1

Any ideas?

Jon

Check the XDCAM Transfer Prefs on that one system. There is an option to not import proxies when the disc comes online. Some people just want to see the thumbnail image.

Hey,

Should have been more clear. That's the issue, no thumbnail image. and what is seen in the viewer is black or heavy digital break-up. But I'll double check.
