I need to uprez clips shot in DV to HDV, but unfortunately the cheapest option on the market, which is Instand HD from Red Giant Software doesn't support Vegas as host.
Does anybody has an idea?
Do I need to go the Teranex way?
Thanks

I have kind of successfully done that with our recent project.(in VEGAS) footage was shot in DV (luckily 16:9) and had to be mixed with footage shot on HDV. (1080i)
A simple solution was to " meet halfway". All HDV footage was rendered to an intermediate 720p. And simmilarly I rendered all DV footage to 720P.
Then the whole project was edited and delivered in 720p.
There is no way you can uprez DV material because you cannot create pixels that are not there in the first place. But uprezzing DV footage and downrezzing HDV footage gives you a good compromise.
I suppose you would deliver in SD anyway? If yes then you would'nt have too much of a headache.

There's no way to uprez DV but then if you uprez DV it gives the best compromise?

Sorry but maybe I didn't clarify. What I meant was that if the DV footage is stretched slightly you would get away with it. (i.e. set project properties to 720p and use track motion to resize).
