I know this topic is maybe not compatible with the chart and sponsors, but is there a shop in SF having gears for the EX1, like Swit batteries ?

If by gears you mean equipment in support of the EX1 like SxS cards, tripods, lighting and audio equipment there are two places I recommend. First is Adolph Gasser in San Francisco proper. Here's the link:

If you travel just north of San Francisco, about a 40 minute drive across the Golden Gate Bridge, you'll find the company where I bought my EX1 and a lot of other equipment. It's called Snader & Associates. If you go there, talk to the salesman who helped me, Jason Housel (phone: 415-451-3229), and tell him you want the Torv discount!!!
