When loading tape most of the time the camera won't record or for that matter play back. I have to take the tape out then put back in for it to work. I've even tried more then one brand of tape. Is this normal?
Camera is only week old. Any help.

No, not normal at all. Something's wrong. Are you closing the inner door first, giving it time to close all the way before closing the outer one?
