This community has never let me down yet. Here goes another query:

We are coming from Haiti to Florida for a couple of days and one task is to upgrade our lights. We have an old tota, an old omni, both with aging barn doors, two battered stands and an umbrella.

We'd like to add:
- gels (and holders - can't remember if there is a kind of thing that slips in the omni barndoor)
- maybe a softbox
- maybe new barndoors for the omni

And also:
- A light, low battery consuming on-camera light that will NOT give us the news-camera look
- Some kind of battery belt/pack (You have blackouts once a decade, we have them for about 20 hours a day every day here...)

And get bulbs obviously.

We have an xl-1s but have been shooting with natural light for a year (with great success of course). But now we have some night stuff to do...
