Price point <4.000 USD. The front end - optics and sensor will be Nikon, but the rest of the electronics will be designed by a well known japanese videomanufacturer.

The D90 seems to be a hit. I was filming at the Paul Reed Smith guitars open house today and ran into two people with the new d90. One guy say said he bought just for the video feature.

I think Nikon would be silly not to at least try a video camera after the buzz on the D90.
