I cannot find the EX1 manual on Sony's website. if someone could find the link I sure would appreciate it. I want to read up on all of the main operations before my unit arives in about 2 weeks.

As I recall, the manual isn't available as a separate download. If you download the Sony XDCAM Transfer utility, I believe that the manual is part of that download package.
