Dave Largent November 30th, 2003, 10:43 PM I've got a few extra copies of the contract. For a limited time only. If Peter doesn't mind, I could send it out to those with an interest. If Peter would rather I didn't, he should let me know.
I would prefer not to be e-mailed directly. Those with an interest should post on the board.
Chris Hurd November 30th, 2003, 11:04 PM Tell you what, fellows...
If one of you guys who already has this stuff, if you can send it to me, then I'll make it available for download from my site, that is assuming that it's all right with Peter, who will of course receive full credit for this. Just let me know. This should end the email onslaught for all concerned -- hope this helps,
Dave Largent November 30th, 2003, 11:21 PM Chris, you've got mail.
Chris Hurd December 1st, 2003, 12:34 AM With all proper regards to Peter Jefferson, this is his material and it will remain on my site *only* if he says it's okay. Which means, the file is subject to immediate removal if Peter would rather not have it made publicly available. In the meantime, you can stop buggin' him by email and just hit the link (on a PC: right-click and choose "save as").
Thanks to Dave Largent -- hope this helps,
Moderator Note:Peter has requested that his contract be removed and is not available for download. I've deleted the links in several of the posts as well.

Peter Jefferson December 1st, 2003, 06:42 AM thanks chris
would yo be able to drop me an email and i will send a refined contract (smaller downlaod) with an application form (2 part contract)
this should make things a little easier for all
Chris Hurd December 1st, 2003, 10:39 AM Peter, you've got mail.
Peter Jefferson December 4th, 2003, 10:03 AM so do u mate :)
Robert Knecht Schmidt June 9th, 2004, 06:35 PM Thanks for posting the contract. I'm curious. Is this just a little levity, or was this inserted based on some experience?: If the Client elects to “Steal the Camera”, an additional refundable deposit of $800 is required to cover insurance, and any loss or damage which may or may not occur. Studio-D will film the “theft” and follow the client. Within reason, the resulting footage may be used at the Clients Discretion within the finished product.
Steven Davis August 10th, 2004, 02:12 PM Hey Chris, could I borrow some of the content from and use it. I really need a decent contract. Some of the stuff in there is very vital. I was really wondering how to handle the whole, 'if lighting zaps my camera, what will happen.' Thanks in advance.
Peter Jefferson August 13th, 2004, 09:06 AM Thanks for posting the contract. I'm curious. Is this just a little levity, or was this inserted based on some experience?:

Hahahaha
sorry mate, thats jsut one of the elements which i include on my packages.. i give a camera to the bridal party.. they run amok at the reception, i film it.. we try to play act it.. bit like a comedy flooorshow.. works great with the best man or groom. i usually leave a 3rd cam on a pod.. and Groomsman pretends to gingerly walk up.. (all the whle im filmin his sneakiness) then he grabs it an runs around while its recording.. i chase hime .. lol
Very funny shit..
As for using the contract for your own business requirements, pls do so at ur own discretion, however, please do not copy it word for word. us eur discretion for wha u require within ur own biz requirements,
Steven Davis August 13th, 2004, 09:14 AM Thanks for letting me borrow some of it. It's a little overwhelming trying to come up with a contract. I had thought of a lawyer, but they may not know all of the particulars that I need. I found some freebees laying around and have been picking from those to word out mine. I just wanted to use the ideas you have. I really thought it was thorough putting the part about the camera placement being up to the discretion of <insert business name> You contract has given me some good direction to think about.
About the person 'stealing' the camera, that'll have to wait untill I have enough equipment to spare, lest they trip over the rug and shatter my little camera all over the floor. :}
Peter Jefferson September 8th, 2004, 08:26 AM yeah you wouldnt want taht, which is why i use my old cheapy family handycam.. id NEVER hand my DVX to anyone.. lol
footage doesnt have to be perfect, on teh contrary, i WANT it to look awful.. like home video.. lol i then mask it with a recording frame... interesting stuff...
as for taking elements, im ok with it so long as people jsut dont leech it like vultures.. dont get me wrong, im all for helping people, but sometimes when people take advantage of you it makes you wanna scream..
which brings me another subject, but ill shut up now..
Jeff Donald September 9th, 2004, 09:15 AM Peter has requested that the contract be removed and I've deleted the links to it, to avoid confusion. I am also locking this thread, so as to avoid future confusion should someone else make a contract available. If you're interested in a Wedding Contact please start a new thread.
