Hi,
Since I need to shot a concert that last more than 1 hour, i wonder if there is a way to use picture cache recording function to change the disc and to keep continuity on other disc, while in recording mode? I think I read somewhere about this...My firmware is AT 1.61
package 1.93.

Thanks

You will lose a few seconds when you switch. Format all your discs so that you save those few seconds in formatting.. Don't wait for your disc to get full but eject your disc at the first opportunity. You could get a separate recorder and record to that disc also.
Try shooting a clock with a second indicator as you do a switch. It will show you how many seconds you will lose. Let us know.

Petar, thanks a lot for your replay.
Actually, my thought was not to lose anything...something like Pdw-700, pushing the eject button while in recording mode in combination with other function...

Joseph,

The PDW-700 has 30 seconds of cache, were the PDW-F3xx serie has only 12 seconds. When using a PDW-700, you can replace a disc without missing a frame.

Ivan,
So, if I'm fast enought it is possible or not? Yesterday I try to press eject button in recording mode (with Picture cache ON), but VF says "REC mode!"...

no, it won´t work.

I also tried different ways, but the 12s cache is not big enough , changing the disc takes a bit longer, so you will have a gap.

I usually change disc within a big applause, that can be easily covered in Post.

Uli is right, it will not work with a model out of the PDW-F3xx serie.
I actually would love to have the same amount of cache on the 335/355 as the 700 has.
Is something like this technically posible with a firmware update?
