OK I've lurked in the background for far too long now so thought I'd better say hi.
I'm a professional newspaper photographer (stills) who made the leap to moving pictures about 12 months ago and for some reason seem to be thoroughly enjoying the change!
Currently playing with a mix of Sony HVR-A1E (works kit) and my own Canon XM2 (GL2 over the pond!). Editing at work ENG/featurery stuff for website on a wheezing pc and Pinnacle - own stuff at home far more civilised - a mac and Final Cut Express.
Well there it is - I'm now un-lurked!

Well, now the list loony has found you and I'll bet you wish you hadn't unlurked!

I started a database of all the active UK members of DVinfo in July during a particularly wet holiday and you are actually the 300th name to be added, so I'll say welcome to you too.

I might use this occasion to update the link to the UK dvinfo Brits.

Here's the link:

Hi Steve

Great to have another UK based member aboard the DVi ship. I direct films in my spare time and am based in York. Whereabouts are you based?

How is the filming going?
