Will a Rode NTG1, which relies on phantom power, work when mounted on a GL2 with an MA300 XLR adapter?

Hi there
Just get the NTG 2 which is the same mic but takes a 1.5v battery for the power... good mic for the money. I use it as my boom mic...it's quite hot and works well like this.
I also have an AT 897 which sits on my Z1 as an ambient mic. The pair give me good location audio.

Gareth

Thanks Gareth, think I'll go with the NTG2.

Hi Ed

You might want to consider these Rode accessories to the NTG 2 : RØDE Microphones (http://usa.rodemic.com/accessory.php?product=WS6)

You can get both the Wind jammer and the shock mount for around £80. I use both as the foam one provided is really pretty useless...
