Will a Rode NTG1, which relies on phantom power, work when mounted on a GL2 with an MA300 XLR adapter?

I use it as my boom mic...it's quite hot and works well like this. I also have an AT 897 which sits on my Z1 as an ambient mic. The pair give me good location audio. regards Gareth Ed Space September 15th, 2008, 06:50 PM Thanks Gareth, think I'll go with the NTG2. Ed Stanley Law September 16th, 2008, 03:03 AM Campbell? I'm in Milpitas. :P Ed Space September 20th, 2008, 05:50 PM Thanks Gareth, Am ordering NTG2 Ed Gareth Watkins September 21st, 2008, 04:05 AM Hi Ed You might want to consider these Rode accessories to the NTG 2 : RØDE Microphones (http://usa.rodemic.com/accessory.php?product=WS6) You can get both the Wind jammer and the shock mount for around £80. I use both as the foam one provided is really pretty useless... Regards Gareth |
