Theres a mole richardson 1K baby used for $250, including the barndoors, should i go for it? im shooting student films, and dont need a rediculous amount of light, and was looking at a 650 watt arri before this-- but this looks like too good of an offer to pass up... any advice? go for it? or wait and get a new 650? I bought a couple of well-used Mole Baby-Baby spots (very similar) a couple of years ago and they're great. They're heavy and they get hot, but they will probably last forever.

The quality of light is gorgeous.

Things to check, if you can: make sure the internal reflector is not too pitted or discolored and look inside at the wiring inside the case where it goes up to the socket. If the insulation is too cracked and brittle, the cable assembly should probably be replaced.

Good luck. I love mine.
