Hi all,
Just want to share my experience in using my new EX3 for the first time today for a paying client. My EX3 has the Fujinon XS17x5,5BRM lens attached. WOW! How easy is it to use! The zoom rocker is positioned nicely forward, away from the camera handle and I can get my left hand easily over the lens and zoom at the exact pace I want (and I needed very slow today) by adjusting the 7 position zoom speed knob.
Only room light available for lecturn style presentations. Ran my Sony radio mic, and had to use 3 x 8Gb SxS cards, easily swapping out card 1 after card 2 was recording. Zoomed out to WS and exchanged cards.
Camera balanced nicely on my existing Miller Solo/DS10 combo that I use with the V1. My Solo/DS20 is ready for collection in the next day or 2.
Focusing was a breeze thanks to variable VF peaking just like on my soon to be sold DXCD50 camera.
A really good experience.
