I am using a Canon XHA1, Final Cut Express on a Mac with iphoto 08. My question is how do I download still shots from the memory card for use in both Final Cut and iphoto. iphoto will not recognize the XHA1 and capture in Final Cut only captures 1 photo at a time.

I have a multi-card reader that I pull pictures off when I take stills. If I have pix on the XHA1 I just eject the card and put it into the card reader then import to FCP.

That's correct -- a $10 card reader is essential. Plug into a USB port and grab your photos.
