Hi everyone

By day I'm a scientist but by night I'm an amateur director. This means I have almost zero free time to do anything else. I'm currently working on my second film called Project Magenta, a sci-fi thriller set in the near future. I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this one, but I do prefer to work on longer films - this one will be about 40 minutes I reckon.

I joined this lovely group in the hope that I can get advice from people who know lots more than me. This might prevent me from making as many mistakes. In the process this information will hopefully become useful to others.

I have a somewhat jumbled set of equipment. A second hand AG-DVX100, a decent shotgun mic, a friction head Manfrotto tripod, a homemade dolly with track, a homemade steadicam that doesn't work :( and the cheapest lights I could find - Interfit tungstens.

Tala
