I would love to hear what you think about using filter adapters... I found a nice 43 to 52 adapter, and the offer for 52mm filters is very good, good prices and good quality.
So, are there disadvantages in using a filter adapter?
I don't use WA nor tele, only UV, skylight, ND and circular polarizer. Looking forward for some orange, IR and others.

I don't know. One fellow here uses a step-up ring with good results on his MX350 I believe. I presume if that the step-up ring doesn't stick out too much (slim step-up ring), it would be okay. I don't use a lot of filters for my cams, so I use the same size as the cams' threads. I haven't tried an adaptor so that I can use all those filters from my Nikon (52mm).

I looked around for a 43mm to 55mm step up, but none available. So I settled for a 43 to 52, and a 52 to 55. At 55mm, I can stack several filters without vignetting.

The real reason for me to go to 55mm is because of my Digital Still Camera, which is the Fujifilm S602zoom (wonderfully great and value for money). This DSC uses 55mm filters and adaptors. I am now sharing the 0.79x Wide Angle and 1.50x Tele between the S602z and the MX350. Great results on the MX350 using these two Fujifilm adaptor lenses.
