60-second promo for my weekly show "Rapid Ralph Runs the Roads" (local channel 20 in Asheville, NC "the Land of the Sky") ... shot with my V1 mounted on a tripod between the seats. Works super well and I've done 40 one-hour shows with this setup already. People love 'em.

enjoy,

cute....

seems remarkably smooth - unless you have great roads out there!

are you shooting with steady on?

regular lens or is there a w/a on it?

Thanks, Leslie ... no, we have a good deal less than great roads back up here in the mountains of Western North Carolina and even worse when I'm off-road as I often go. ... The V1 is does have steadyshot on but I also use ProDad's Mercalli software (see proDAD - Mercalli -- Video Stabilizer (http://www.prodad.de/gb/mercalli_std_details.html)) in post to smooth out the ride so that my viewership does not get car sick. ;-)

Nice tip...

With that software in mind, what shutter speed do you use when shooting from a car?

I always notice the great rich color immediately when I watch V1 clips. Like Leslie said, cute promo and the video is smooooth... In fact, it is so smooth that you don't seem so rapid, Ralph.

mostly just the regular 60, although I have been experimenting with 125 and 250... shooting waterfalls for my other series, "Waterfalls of the Southern Highlands" I almost always use 250 now because it seems to smooth out the water better but still experimenting on that.

I am deceptively fast, Marcus. ;-)
