I am looking for a component cable for my hc1. I can find the cable with the s video cable and composite connectors (which I already have) but can't find just the component cable to hook directly up to my tv.

Phil Murray August 16th, 2008, 07:03 PM I tried to find a part number for that in my manual, but nothing came up. I also couldn't find anything on the Sony Parts website, but I copied the contact info for their part dept. Give them a call and they can tell you what is necessary. I'm not sure if the newer ones with HDMI connections also have component ports. If they do, I wouldn't be surprised if they still use the same cable. ------ Call 1-800-488-SONY (7669) The hours of operation are as follows: • 7:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Friday, Central Time. • 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays, Central Time. • 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays, Central Time. ------ I also one on Amazon for about $36 -- a Sony VMC-30VC cable. The lone review says it was used for an HDR-HC1 so it should do the trick. Amazon.com: Sony VMC-30VC Long Length Component Video Cable with RGB Terminals for most MiniDV, DVD & HDD Camcorders (3 meters / 9.8 feet): Camera & Photo (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-VMC-30VC-Component-Terminals-Camcorders/dp/B0007XYIVC) Hope this helps!
