Hi,
I've been asked for a couple scenes from a show I taped.
I only want to give the scenes asked for so I'm looking for
the best way to export, with as little change as possible
(except for deleting 1 audio track and duping the 2nd).

We both used the same cameras (FX1s), they explained
that the show they taped had some difficulty in the scene,
and I could just give them my tapes.... I really don't want
to do that. I'd prefer giving them just the scenes on a DVD.

thanks for any suggestions.

thanks

Capture into vegas, drag the footage onto the timeline, split the footage where ever you want, delete the sections/clips you don't want, render as mainconcept mpeg2, use DVD architect to burn dvd.

Hi Paul,
When I start the new project I should choose 1080i and render with mpeg2 1080i or
does it not matter how I start the project, just the options when I render? (so far
I've only gone from 1080i to SD DVD)

thanks

Hi Jim.
You mean "project properties" in the preview window ?
If so, it doesn't make any difference to the final outcome only to the preview as you're watching.

If they were willing to just take your tapes (which you didn't want to do) why not just recapture into Vegas the sections that they want and then print back out to tape and give that to them. No decrease in resolution and pretty quick.
