Hi,
I'll get around to posting some more recent stuff soon - for now, here's a Bridal Elegance shoot we filmed and edited back in March.

This one is already 'in the bag' but I'd still like to hear any comments/feedback/critiques. I'd especially like to hear any ideas on more interesting ways to feature photos throughout our videos.
Cheers,
Matthew.

really like your work Matthew....would you kindly share how you got the lighting effect at 2:51? was it actual sun/light flare? it's stunning...
so gutted i've heard the same coldplay song on several highlights clips, coz i was gonna use it on my next showreel, but now i'd feel like i was copying :)

Yeah that is stunning! I'm sure it is real sunlight but it looked like some flare filter was added to ehance the effect.

Hey Richard,
Thanks! Yep, it was definitely real sun flare. I added a bit of anamorphic flare and diffusion in post to really bring it out but the original flare coming through the window was pretty awesome.
Don't worry about the song ... just use it! It's an awesome song.
Cheers,
Matthew.

very nice video! Great color, awesome editing and some really creative shots. Its definitely something for me to strive towards. What kind of steadicam are you using in some of the shots?

Hey Kale,
Thanks for the comments. Using the merlin handheld throughout this clip.
Cheers!

Hi Matthew!
I thought it was great! The music and the video fit nicely, creative use of lighting effects,
I was going to ask you which stedicam you've used, then read it was merlin, wow,
amazing result!
One thing, imho, is the use of photographs, I thought slowed down the piece in some moments, did not fit to your dynamic storytelling, not really adding anything to already great video camera work.
