It seems that many of you, if not all of you edit the ceremony and reception into one video. The way I've done it so far is edit a ceremony video, then a reception video. So the final dvd has 3 videos to play. Is this a worse way of doing it than the way most of you do things?
I'm just looking for some insight here.
and on a side note, what is a general price for that package? (simple ceremony edit, reception edit, and highlight video. no bridal prep.
thanks everyone.

Is there a reason why you split it up in 3 dvd's? The only reason I would do it if it would be over 1,5 hour in length, I do deliver a short 50 minute highlight version and a long 1,5 hour version which contains everything I filmed. It happens that this long version is longer then 2 hours and then I split it over 2 dvd's.

no it's all on one dvd but in the dvd menu there are three choices. Ceremony, Reception, Highlight.

Oh sry, then I misunderstood. I usually have 4 to 5 chapters. I always try to keep the menu real simple but visual appealing. I don't like these dvd structures where you have to go through 3 different levels to chose an option. I just have one page only with all chapters.

If I have ceremony, reception and highlight need to put into DVD I will...
Put Ceremony and Reception together as "Wedding Day Coverage" Video
Highlight as Highlight Video
In the DVD Menu, there will be 3 buttons
Wedding Day Coverage
Chapters
-Ceremony
-Reception
Highlights
The Wedding Day Coverage Buttons is the "Play All", viewer also can go into chapters and select the chapters they want to go to and Highlight is the just the highlight music Video
I had a project with 7 chapters and 4 others videos, here is my DVD menu
Wedding Day Coverage
Chapters:
- B Prep
- G Prep
- Tea Ceremony (Chinese Couples)
- Ceremony
- Location Photo
- Reception
- 1st Dance
Special Feature:
- Trailer
- Love Story
- Photo Montage
- Highlight

Having the first dance as a chapter is a good idea, thanks for that.

20) Party Till It Stops
21) Ending Credits
I figure why make it harder for them to skip to what they want to see. Because I provide only a long form edit (working on doing Highlights now) that means there is potentially up to an hour of movie to sit through. If they are popping the DVD in to who a friend something, I want it to be simple.
That does mean I have to create a LOT of chapter menus in DVDA. Pain in the butt that settings don't copy between menus, but oh well.
