Hi,

I just purchased a second EX1 and wanted to see what firmware version it was running.

I looked all through the menus and couldn't find anything on it.

How do you view what firmware version the camera is running?

Thanks,

Jim

It's in the maintenance menu. Press and hold MENU and CANCEL on the rear of the camera, then press SEL/SET to access.

When will it be possible to update to a newer version of the firmware for the ex1 by the yourself?
And what makes the difference with newer firmware.
thanks jurgen

Strange. Since I got my EX-1 back from Sony Repair, the "Menu/Cancel/Sel-Set" does not display the Maintenance Menu. I'm sure they updated the firmware but I can't check it.

I just found that the procedure is: Press and hold the "CANCEL" "SEL/SET" and "MENU" buttons simultaneously.

I recently sent my EX1 to the local Sony service center for the firmware upgrade. When I got it back I wanted to be sure they installed the latest one (1.11) so I pressed Menu_Sel/Set_cancel. Everything fine..

Now is there a way to hide the maintenance menu again.. since I donīt want one of the videographers I worke with messing with it?

I just found that the procedure is: Press and hold the "CANCEL" "SEL/SET" and "MENU" buttons simultaneously.

on my ex3 I had to do this. All three. Removed by shutting the camera off.
