Just got a tape from another filmer in France. It is shot 1080i PAL. I have access to an FX1, but not an Z1U. Will the FX1 playback PAL? I have heard a rumor that it will. I simply need to capture it. Not concerned with editing PAL footage since i am FCS2, just need to get it uploaded ASAP.

I have tried searching with no answer. Yes I know there is a Euro version of the FX1, just heard that the North America version will also playback PAL, but not shoot it.

The Z1 will even play DV LP even though the manual doesn't specify it can.
