I am shooting and rendering in SD. I have Vegas Movie Studio Platinum with DVD Architect Studio 4.0.

My question is, If I buy the Vegas Pro 8 disk only from B & H that comes without DVD Architect will I still be able to make SD DVD’s with Architect Studio 4.0 or do I have to have V 4.5 or higher to work with Pro 8?

You should still be able to make DVDs, but they may be some "pro" features missing. One I suspect would be missing is AC3 encoded 5.1 surround. But since I don't know for sure. Looks like this page has the answers. (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro/compare)

You'll be able to make SD DVD even with DVD Architect 3, or any other DVD authoring soft.
