I use the HD1000, and I'm realy satisfied ;).
I change the onboard mic with a Rode NTG-2.

Does anyone have mount this Rode mic on the microphone holder ?
I feel the Rode mic move on this holder.

I also use the NTG 2 mic on the HD1000 and it's a great mic.

True, it does move, but only in the respect that it is much heavier than the Sony mic and therfore makes the mic mount flex more.
