Having sold my Zoe remote, I'm leaning toward a Canon to avoid compatibility issues. But are there any other specific brands/models you've used successfully with your H1?

Dear Phillip,

The Vari-Zoom controllers work well.

They have many models.

I have been using a Zoe lanc with good results for two years. Slow zooms are fairly easy and there is also a stop start button as well. 16x9 offers them.

I use a Manfrotto pan handle.

" The remote control features a record/stop button, a power on/standby button, three different zoom speed control buttons (slow, medium and fast) and a push auto focus button. The zoom wheel can be used to control one of the three preset, maximum zoom speeds or a customisable maximum speed which you can set to exactly the level you want"

Hi Folks

Are there any controllers that can also control the iris (aperture) settings when using the camera on a crane?

Thanks

Dear Norman,

The Canon Console Software, which runs on a computer, can be used to fully control the camera.

This could be very handy if you are running the camera on a crane.

The image that you see on the laptop (or other computer) will be delayed slightly, so you might want to use regular monitor, but you do have full control over all settings of the camera.

Sold my Zoe remote because nothing happened when I plugged it into my H1

Now returning a Manfrotto 521 for same reason.

Any point in trying a Canon remote, or should I just assume my LANC is fried?
