Is there a way to change the white balance of a clip in Final Cut? I know I can go to color correction and do it that way but I was wondering if there is a White Balance adjustment?

But it's designed around that sort of workflow. Here's a podcast that shows how to do it: http://www.shirtlessapprentice.com/podcast/2008/1/21/27-color-correcting-white-balance-in-final-cut-pro.html -Noah Paul Cronin July 15th, 2008, 08:01 AM Thanks Noah that is what I am doing with CC. I guess there is no way to change the clip to say 3500K from 5600K with out CC in the three way CC. Benjamin Hill July 15th, 2008, 08:27 AM Thanks Noah that is what I am doing with CC. I guess there is no way to change the clip to say 3500K from 5600K with out CC in the three way CC. If there was it would be a blunt instrument- I don't think I've ever filmed in an environment where the light was all one color temperature, or matched the camera's presets perfectly. It's easy enough to map white & gray in the 3-way CC using the eyedropper tool. Paul Cronin July 15th, 2008, 08:38 AM I agree Benjamin and it is easy to correct with CC. Just always looking for all the options. |
