Long story short, I'm booked for an event and I can't loan a client my VX2100 to film a second event at the same time that wants to hire me. They will have to film themselves and want me to edit. They said they have a JVC Everio, GZ-MS100U which only records to an SD card. I don't know anything about it.
My question is even if I wanted to, can I use the footage in FCP 5.1 (FCS Studio 1)? I've got Parallels on my MacBookPro if I need a special driver, but will the resulting footage even be watchable when run through FCP and then DVD Studio?
I found at a local rental shop a JVC GZ-MG130US, 30 GB HDD. If I had them rent that, could I edit that footage in FCP from the HDD?
Thanks!
