Quick question:

I'm looking for an inexpensive(~$400-500) wireless for my PD150 for a documentary project I'm working on. In reading other threads in this forum, the Senn Evolution 100 seems like a popular choice. Will this work with a PD150, given that from what I saw in the specs, the Evolution has a mini plug output(not xlr)? Are there any other options with xlr outputs that are in the Evolution 100's price range?
thanks!

An XLR cable is available for the sennheiser.
Or if you buy the complete package with the bodypack and plug on transmitter for around $500, both cables will be included.

As Marty said, the Senn 100ENG kit comes with a mini to XLR cable.

Or you can try the Audio-Technica U100 series, which is a diversity system with XLR output and runs for $499, though it won't include the plug-on mike transmitter; the Senn kit comes with both the lav mike transmitter and the plug-on transmitter for $499.

I'm currenly using the Senn 100 with my DVX 100 and it's been working well so far, though it's non-diversity.

Be aware, however, that if you plan on wearing the receiver on your belt (this is what I do, since I don't want to weigh the camera down with a receiver), rather than mounting it on the camera, that the supplied mini-to-XLR cable is on the short side (about 2 or 3 feet, I think), and will limit the distance at which you can hold the camera from your body for low angle and high angle shots when doing handheld work. In cases like these, you'd have to either mount the receiver to the camera (the kit comes with velcro for this purpose), or buy a longer mini-to-XLR cable.
