It's a little vague on the cineform website as to how it works on FCP 6. So I was curious if anybody has done this:With Neo HDV capture/transfer footage on a PC in a .MOV Quicktime wrapper. Install the trial codec on the mac (the decoder doesn't expire). Edit the footage and then do an export to ProRes 422 without a watermark? Or is the watermark constant even while decoding?
I'd like to use the cineform product, but I'm not paying $600. I don't need 10-bit encoding. $250 is in my price range... $600 isn't. Seems a little steep. Not sure if the Neo HDV would be worth my time
