Hi,

I'm a real 'newbie' when it comes to traveling outside the US.

I have a video shoot in Ecuador (Guayaquil to be exact)

I noticed on the back of my charger it says 100v - 240v. Will this work for me in that country, or do I need to purchase a power adapter?

Thanks,

Jim

means the camera can handle the voltage from one up to the other. Your camera will be OK. The one thing you should find is the type of wall socket plug used in South America. Also, check the voltage on anything else you may be taking to see if you need a voltage regulator otherwise a small piece of equipment in any chain you may create could blow out.

Sony (thankfully) make their battery chargers international by accepting any input voltage between 100V and 240V.

But as mentioned, you may need a plug adapter to allow you to plug the charger into a local receptical.
