I just wrapped up a shoot with a clients XHA1, and we shot to a FS-C (canon version of Firestore). Accidentally we recorded to .mov format, we figured that out at the end of the day of course! I though this wouldn't be a major problem as there would simply be rendering time in post.
Upon getting back to the office, My WinXP machine with quicktime Pro 7.4.5 installed will not play the files. All I get is a white screen, then an error and a popup window sending me to the quicktime codec page.
Has anyone experience this issue before going from HDV->Firestore MOV? If so is there a possible work around, other then going to a Mac? and yes, it does play perfectly on the client's Mac powerbook :-P
