Steve Mullen June 12th, 2008, 09:47 PM Both these cams (HVR-Z7 / HVR-S270) equipped with interchangeable lenses as well as solid state recording via Sony’s very own memory recording module and also 1/3rd inch X 3 clear Vid CMOS sensors and Sony’s very own Exmor ™ Technology. Rotating the pixels at a 45-degree layout this enhances the signal sensitivity while maintaining a sufficient surface area. The Exmor ™ technology ON THE OTHER HAND features a unique column-parallel analog-to-digital conversion technique with dual noise canceling, resulting in higher quality digital signals with lower noise. Both these new technologies combine together allow the HVR-Z7 as well as the HVRS270 to perform significantly better supposedly in low light environments. Sony claims as low as 1.5 LUX. Not well put. Remove the "ON THE OTHER HAND." Chris Hurd June 12th, 2008, 09:52 PM Reference? Is this from the Sony brochure, or were you intending to reply to an existing post elsewhere? Adam Gold June 12th, 2008, 10:16 PM The quote is from the Derek Yeo article posted today, next thread down as of this writing. Chris Hurd June 12th, 2008, 10:39 PM Then that's where the reply should have been made in the first place -- threads now merged. |
