I'm in a bind and hoping that my friends here on the forum can help as I've seen them help before. I flew from Maryland to California on Monday with my EX1 in tow. I'm leaving today from San Bernardino to drive North to the Whitney portal area to do some climbing. I want to take my camera with me but the extra battery I ordered from BH didn't arrive in time before I left. Does anyone know of a local, so-cal supplier where I can get an extra battery on my way out of town? Preferably Riverside, Redlands, Inland Empire as I don't want to have to drive to LA. Alternately is there another power option for the EX that I could consider? Something belt mounted?

You need a BP-U30 or U60? That's going to be a bit of a stretch, I'm afraid, without going into L.A. Not sure about a generic belt-pack battery option... Hate to say it, but you might have to consider going into town to Birns & Sawyer or Abel Cine Tech.

I don't think you'll be able to avoid the trip to LA so Samy's should be a good bet to get what you need in LA. Although I've heard that the large capacity batteries are on back order, they may be available there. Here's the info and a link to Google maps:
