Okay I have narrowed my mic selection down to the following:
Outdoors: AT875R
Indoors: AT4053A or AKG SE300B/CK93
I shoot with a Sony FX1 with a juicedLink CX231. I will use a boom sometimes and I will also have to have the mics camera mounted at times. (I know this is against what everyone says, but it is a necessity due to how and what I shoot at times)
My concern is now for the suspension mounts and the wind protection. Is there a benefit to having both AT mics as far as the ancillary items go?
What mount would you guys suggest for putting the mic on the camera (ideally I would like to use the shoe for the on cam light still). I have seen conversions that mount the mic to the side of the camera, would this work with a suspension mount or just the OEM Sony mount from the Z1?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated (although I know you are all going to tell me to never mount the mic on the camera :-) )
Thanks!
Bill
