Due to some luck at a workplace raffle contest, I picked up our office's old broadcast monitor (jvc bm-H1900SU). It has 2 channels BNC, Y/C (DIN 4pin) RGB Analog (BNC) Component (D-9/Betacam/MII, BNC common to RGB). The question I have is, how do I make use of my computer's firewire port and Sony Vegas to use this as my color correction monitor? I might be able to use the s-video port on my computer, the monitor has s-video, but I don't know if that is the best way to connect it.
I have looked all over and it is harder than crap to find information about this. I completely understand if I need to be a few hundred dollar converter / adapter. No problem. Just so long as I don't destroy the quality of the signal and thus eliminate the whole point of having an SMPTE-C monitor.
