Hi. I'm trying to import a avi file into a project but it only imports a part of the video... When I open the video in media player the video is complete...
Whats the problem here?
thx

Premiere is extremely picky when it comes to importing footage. If there`s any TC break or any error like this, it won`t import.
Try to open your video with VirtualDub and see if it`s complete. You can even try exporting it to some less lossy codec, which is great for editing.

Jiri, I aprecciate your answer.
wmplayer shows it complete. I really don't know what's happening...
About the codec... I really newbie about this subject, I captured 9 tapes with DV AVI... What's the best codec for capturing?
Thx

You cannot really choose a codec to capture in Premiere. You can only choose a certain Project Preset.
But! You can safely use Windows Movie Maker for DV capturing. It`s simple and does its job. Premiere is picky when it comes to capturing.
Can you import your other captured files?

I figured out what was happening... Uninstalled mainconcept and now everything's ok :)
