View Full Version : JVC GZ-HD6 is MPEG-2: would this be better for editing on a Mac?

Sorry to harp on the same theme, but I just came across a small camera - - the JVC GZ-HD6 - - that uses MPEG-2 (TS system) instead of AVCHD.

Would this be better for purposes of editing than the rather difficult AVCHD (difficult to us Mac users; even more difficult for a Mac user who edits in Avid!)

What do people think?
Thanks, Malcolm

Visit the forum here dedicated to JVC Everio cameras. In particular, pay attention to Steve Mullin's posts. Steve has a lifetime of IT experience to share and has a fondness for JVC. AS an aside, look for the HD7. It contains features much more useful to the videographer.
