I've just got myself the RNG35 and here is some quick test footage
excuse the shaky cam, need to find a solution to be able to hold the unit (rails/adapter/hv20) better.

It looks very filmic, a little of CA i noticed, is it from the lens?

yeah i would say the combo of the lens/focus screen. Bit hard to know because I haven't got any other lenses to test it with yet.

Looks like a 50 mm and the Bokeh is huge. Nice footage. The Tonk cat rules and it is interesting that all cats perch on the windowsill like that. An awesome shot would be a macro of that cats eye with daylight reflection from the window. You could probably sell a stock shot of that for a title composite in a horror feature.
Keep up the good work.

PS - Just curious what your workflow is with the HV20. Are you taking it out of HDV for editing/color correction?

I got a Macro lens now so I'll have to reshoot Stephen Kings "Cats Eye" :)
I capture to Avid which captures to MXF long GOP format and then once editing is done then out to HDV or any other format.

Hehe yeah a month later, its those damn cats, they won't stay still to get a good macro :P
Waiting for my RNG35 upgrade, should be interesting to see how the footage will compare.
