Is there a Final Cut Training DVD?
I understand there is a tutorial (PDF?) that comes with the software but is there something more out there.
I've been with Final Cut 3 for years and it's time to bump things up a couple of notches.

But maybe you were looking for more of an advanced DVD?
But that would have led you to a google search? Which I did, and cant tell one from another.
Now I'm wondering if there are any good to great third party training dvds

Sign up for the Larry Jordan newsletter. Invaluable. Tons of FCP stuff there as well as Motion and all the other goodies FCS has.

I hope this is OK to post.

In addition, Larry Jordan has, via another training company, a series of training dvds, also available online with a subscription at that training company's website. I don't know if its ok to post the name of the company since I don't know if they are sponsors of DVInfo.net.
Here's the list of Larry's titles:
-- HD Workflows
-- Soundtrack Pro 2 Essential Training
-- Compressor 3 Essential Training
-- DVD Studio Pro 4 Essential Training
-- FCP 6 Essential Effects
-- FCP 6 Essential Editing
-- FCP 6 New Features
-- FCP 5 Color Correction
-- Soundtrack Pro Audio Filters
-- Motion 2 Essential Training
-- LiveType 2 Essential Training
-- FCP Optimization and Troubleshooting
-- Final Cut Studio Integration
-- DVD Studio Pro 4 + Compressor 2 New Features
-- FCP 5 Beyond the Basics
-- FCP 5 Essential Effects
-- FCP 5 Essential Editing
-- Digital Video Principles
Furthermore, through the same company are Lynda Weinman's "Learning Motion"; Robbie Carman's "Getting Started with Apple Color" and "Apple Color Essential Training," and tons of other training dvds and their corresponding online versions. The dvds usually include sample footage, which also available online if you pay for the premium subscription.
I have used most of these and they are great. Larry Jordan also does traveling tours training workshops. Check his websites for dates and places.
Disclaimer: I neither work for Larry Jordan nor that training company, but strongly recommend these products to my students and others.
I have also used in the past dvds from a different company, which are quite good since their main trainer, Steve Martin, is one of the most knowledgeable FCS trainers around and one of the regulars in the "Stomp the Gurus" sessions at meetings of the LA FCP User Group.
Good luck. These are great investments.
