Hi, ive had my glidecam 2000, smoothshooter, FX1 combo for a week now and im getting better. However when moving, even with a light touch the camera moves about quite a bit. Especially when I start to walk it has a brief pan left then right moment.
My drop time is about 2 seconds. Any more than that and its really on the verge of being top heavy and going upside down. As you may know if I make it any more bottom heavy while its stable its harder to manage as the COG is much lower.
Anyone have any tips on moving or how to keep things pointing in the direction I Want? How does the position of the weights affect things? I know if I have them out to the edge then panning is stable however with the added inertia its harder to start and stop the pans. Weights close to post, the edge or middle.
Any tips or your findings with the glidecam would be greatlya appreciated.
