I'm thinking strongly about the dvx100a or b. I know that if I pick up this camera, though, I'll end up doing a few weddings with it. Are there any cameras that can have the same look / feel without shelling out an additional 2200? I loved owning the XL1s and GL2 because they were so similar. What about the panasonic?

i think the 100B is an good upgrade from the previous model; stronger body, the scene button is better protected and other from mistake redials and other special features.
But for some stupid reason Panasonic removed the time lapse function on the 100B. In other words if you want to film the building of a circus tent you have to stand there and manually take brief shots.

Hi Stefan, I've got a DVX 100A for sale, well cared for if you're interested, I always like helping out a DVinfo user. Feel free to email me if you're interested, I know this isn't necessarily the place to sell it, price is fair, not a lot of hours (less than 200 hrs), and I clean the heads regularly along with making sure they're cleaned if any change in tape is made in an emergency ( even though 90+% of all tapes are made in the same place with the same type of lube ). Anyway, you can email me through my name on the forums.
Dave

Maybe my question was missed by the answer-ers. I'm looking for a camera that can be used alongside the dvx100 (a or b) that has the same basic look. For example, the GL2 and XL1s I used looked a lot alike in non-low light.
