Being an urban documentary & film maker, my Sony HVR-Z1U camera sees it's fair share of action (read: rattles, rain and beer). Most everything has worked well over the last several years until recently the Sel/Push Exec dial started scroll upwards only. This is becoming a big problem as I am unable to change many settings including shutter speed.

Has anyone had this problem yet? Is there a quick fix someone can think of? Or am I gonna have to sell something and get it fixed somewhere? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Cheers.

The problem magically fixed itself. Yay God!
