I'm new to the Mac and would like to know if the noise reduction function in Soundtrack Pro 2 is considered comparable with Sony's noise reduction plug-in (which I've used in Vegas for years).
My first Video project on the Mac is for a woman's choir in a church with a noisy air handling system. I was not able to do anything useful (too many noise reduction artifacts) with Soundtrack Pro's noise reduction so I exported the audio to see what I could do on my old PC (running Vegas and the Sony plug-in) and was able to clean it up reasonably well.
My real question is, does it sound like should I missed something with Soundtrack Pro noise reduction or should I consider getting something else, perhaps a Waves noise reduction plug-in?
Many Thanks,
Steven
