I wanted to know how to tilt the 561b and the 562b monopod. My HV20 now weighs in at ~5-6lbs with the Brevis and lens and rods. I guess the tilt function with the *head* on the 561b is self explanatory but how do you *tilt* the 562b? Grab the pole and move it forward or back?

yes, the fluid cartridge in the base allows you to tilt and pan the monopod without a fluid head on the top...the range is more limited than the head and may not be as smooth, depending on how you load the pod, but for many applications, it is quite acceptable.

Oh!
So the monopod is similar to a big joystick then? Swivels, pivots and moves forward, back, side to side etc?

Put a standard tripod head on the monopod and you'll have full pan and tilt controls.
