I did a time lapse at our last wedding with my laptop using iMovie and this worked great. I had no idea iMovie had that functionality. I can see this being a great option but what do you guys use? I would love not to leave an expensive laptop and an expensive camera out of my site.

Did you intend to post the video of it? We always have someone near or at least in eye shot of our equipment.

No, I had not intended on posting any video because I was mainly curious to how others did time lapse. We'll see...I may put some up depending on time. I do keep an eye by checking on it every couple of minutes but I don't have a crew large enough to sit with it for an hour or two. Back to the post...what do use for time lapse?

We set the cam up and speed in up in post with FCP 6. We can also set our cameras to take one frame at a specified time rate.

I used that feature on my GL2 for a time lapse once. What rate do you usually use to grab frames?
